Donald Trump Warns Iran of ‘Far Worse’ Attack if No Deal

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on January 28 that it could face a “far worse” military strike than last year’s attacks on Iranian nuclear sites if it fails to negotiate a nuclear agreement. Trump, writing on Truth Social, said a U.S. “armada” led by the USS Abraham Lincoln is positioned near Iran and urged Tehran to “come to the table” for a fair deal that excludes nuclear weapons.

Iran responded that it would “respond like never before” to any U.S. attack and that it’s prepared to defend itself. Tehran also affirmed openness to diplomacy, but insisted negotiations must be free from coercion.

Tensions remain high as military assets build up in the Middle East.
