UAE National Day Alert: Schools Enforce Double Absence Rule After Holidays

Abu Dhabi: Students across the UAE have been cautioned about the double-absence rule that will apply on December 3, 4, and 5, the school days immediately following the Eid Al Etihad (National Day) holidays. The warning comes as these dates fall just before the official winter break, which begins on December 8 after the weekend of December 6 and 7.

School administrations have notified families that any student missing classes on these three days without a valid excuse will have the absence recorded as two days, in line with attendance guidelines.The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) confirmed that schools have issued official reminders to parents, emphasizing the importance of maintaining attendance during this period.
