Rush Hour Chaos: Accidents Trigger Major Delays on Sharjah–Dubai Routes

1 Min Read

Morning commuters faced severe delays on Monday as multiple accidents and heavy traffic volumes caused major congestion on key roads connecting Sharjah and Dubai. Real-time traffic data showed significant slowdowns along Al Ittihad Street and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, two of the busiest arteries for Dubai-bound motorists.

On Al Ittihad Street, the worst gridlock was reported near Al Nahda First, where an accident restricted several lanes and intensified the bottleneck for drivers entering Dubai from Sharjah. Similar pressure built along E311 as traffic volumes swelled during peak hours.

Dubai Police urged motorists to stay patient, follow lane discipline, and avoid crowding accident sites, stressing that such behaviour worsens delays and endangers road safety.
