US marines have boarded an Iranian-flagged oil tanker they said was violating the American blockade.
The marines boarded the MT Celestial Sea as it headed for an Iranian port, US Central Command said.
It said forces “released the vessel after searching and directing the ship’s crew to alter course”.
A total of 91 commercial vessels have now been “redirected” during the US blockade.
