At least 31 people were killed and 40 more were wounded in intensified Israeli air strikes across Lebanon on Tuesday, said the country’s Health Ministry.
14 people, including two children, were killed in Israeli attacks on Burj Al Shamali in Lebanon’s Tyre district, reported Lebanon’s National News Agency.
Five people were killed in Israeli strikes on Kawthariyet Al Rez, in the Saida district, six were killed in Maarakeh and a further two were killed in Selaa, in the Tyre district. Four people, including two children, were killed in Haboush, in the Nabatieh district.
The deadly strikes come as Israel said it would intensify attacks across Lebanon, just days before another scheduled round of talks between the countries in Washington and amid a US-brokered ceasefire.
