Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has directed authorities to ensure Sudanese students at Sudan Private School continue receiving education without tuition fees, while ordering the refund of payments already collected from families.
The directive was issued after concerns were raised that parents had been asked to pay fees for the current academic year. Sheikh Sultan said the school was established specifically to support Sudanese families in Sharjah who could not afford other educational options and was intended to operate free of charge.
Speaking during the Direct Line programme, the Sharjah Ruler instructed the Sharjah Private Education Authority to stop collecting fees and return money already paid. He stressed that even relatively small charges could place an additional burden on families facing financial difficulties.
The decision highlights Sharjah’s continued emphasis on supporting education and vulnerable communities. It also provides immediate financial relief for Sudanese parents while ensuring their children can continue their studies without tuition-related obstacles.
