The United Arab Emirates has moved into the second phase of its national Agentic AI Project, marking another major step in the country’s ambition to build one of the world’s most advanced, technology-driven government systems.
The development was reviewed by the Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development, chaired by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The Council examined the project’s strategy, implementation updates and key initiatives aimed at expanding the use of Agentic AI across federal government operations.
The second phase focuses on moving from preparation and assessment toward the practical deployment of Agentic AI solutions. The first phase concentrated on building government capabilities, evaluating services and operations, and identifying priority areas for transformation. Projects submitted by ministries and federal entities will now move forward for implementation using Agentic AI.
A major component of the next phase is FedAI, a national technical ecosystem designed to enable federal entities to develop, adopt and operate Agentic AI solutions through a secure and flexible system. A dedicated customer-experience laboratory will also explore applications of the technology in government services, alongside internal challenges encouraging employees to develop innovative AI solutions.
The UAE’s wider strategy aims to transform 50% of government services and operations to Agentic AI within two years, supported by extensive employee training and new digital capabilities.
The initiative reinforces the UAE’s vision of a smarter, faster and more proactive government, using advanced technology to improve services, accelerate execution and enhance quality of life.
