Global private markets investment firm Pantheon, which manages approximately $84 billion in assets, has opened its first Abu Dhabi office at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), expanding its presence across the Middle East.

The new office will strengthen Pantheon’s relationships with investors across the Gulf, including sovereign wealth funds, family offices and financial institutions. The firm said demand in the region continues to grow for private equity, infrastructure and private credit investment strategies.

Pantheon has appointed Firas Mallah as Managing Director and Head of the Middle East. Mallah joins from investment firm Sagard, where he served as Managing Director and Head of MENA. Based in Abu Dhabi, he will lead the company’s capital-formation activities across the region.

The Abu Dhabi office expands Pantheon’s global footprint to 13 locations across four continents. The company has more than four decades of experience in private markets and operates across private equity, infrastructure and private credit, alongside primary, secondary and co-investment strategies.

Pantheon’s arrival adds to the growing number of major international investment firms establishing operations in Abu Dhabi. ADGM reported that assets under management at the financial centre increased 54% year-on-year during the first half of 2026, while asset managers established there during that period collectively managed more than $2.1 trillion globally.

The new office reinforces Abu Dhabi’s expanding role as a regional hub for global investment firms and provides Pantheon with a dedicated base to deepen long-term relationships with investors across the GCC.
