Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi, has reported strong growth during the first half of 2026, further strengthening the UAE capital’s position as a leading global financial hub.
Assets under management within ADGM increased by 54% year-on-year, while the number of active licences reached 13,974, with 1,814 new licences issued during the first six months of the year. The figures highlight continued interest from companies and investors seeking to establish operations in Abu Dhabi.
ADGM’s workforce also expanded significantly, reaching 49,027 professionals, representing a 34% increase compared with the same period last year. The number of fund and asset managers rose to 190, while the number of funds managed from ADGM increased to 276.
The financial centre is also becoming increasingly important for technology and artificial intelligence investment. Institutions established within ADGM now have more than US$100 billion in AI-focused capital, while the centre plans to invest more than AED 400 million in technology through 2029 to strengthen its digital infrastructure and regulatory systems.
The latest results underline Abu Dhabi’s growing appeal to international financial institutions, investors and specialised talent. ADGM Chairman Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi said the expansion reflects sustained international confidence in Abu Dhabi as a stable, trusted and globally connected financial hub.
With continued growth in investment, businesses, talent and technology, ADGM is supporting Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become one of the world’s leading financial centres and strengthening the emirate’s reputation as the “Capital of Capital.”
