Donald Trump lands in Switzerland; to give special address at World Economic Forum soon

US President Donald Trump has arrived in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, after his flight on Air Force One was delayed due to an electrical fault. Trump is expected to deliver a special address at the forum, where his team had planned to focus on domestic priorities such as housing affordability and broader cost-of-living concerns.

However, his visit has been overshadowed by renewed controversy over his push to acquire Greenland from Denmark. Trump has threatened tariffs starting at 10 per cent next month, rising to 25 per cent by June, targeting Denmark and seven other allies if negotiations fail. European leaders have warned of a united response, while US stock markets fell sharply amid growing uncertainty.
