Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, honored three extraordinary humanitarians as winners of the 2026 Arab Hope Makers awards on Sunday. Breaking tradition, all three finalists—Abdul Rahman Al-Rais, Hind Al Hajri, and Fouzia Mahmoudi—were crowned winners, each receiving Dh1 million to further their charitable missions.
The winners were selected from over 15,000 nominations for their life-changing work: Al-Rais supports Moroccan widows, Al Hajri provides for orphans in Zanzibar, and Mahmoudi leads “Operation Smile” for children with facial conditions. Established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the initiative celebrates those dedicating their lives to the service of others. The victors have vowed to persist in their philanthropic efforts, fueled by this prestigious regional recognition.
