Dubai Police Fine 8,000+ Riders for Lane Violations

Dubai Police have issued more than 8,000 fines to delivery riders since November 1, following the enforcement of new lane-discipline rules across the Emirate. The crackdown targets riders using fast lanes or driving outside designated areas, a behaviour authorities say increases accident risk and disrupts traffic flow for commuters.

According to Dubai Police, the violations were recorded during intensified patrols and smart-monitoring operations on major roads. Officials stressed that delivery riders must adhere strictly to assigned lanes to ensure safety for themselves and other road users.

The stepped-up enforcement reflects Dubai’s wider push to tighten road regulations and reduce unsafe riding practices. Businesses and individuals who rely on delivery services may experience delays or operational adjustments as companies work to comply with the updated rules and avoid further penalties.
