Dubai Police have issued a strong safety warning after a video showed a passenger sitting on the open door of a moving vehicle while it was being driven on a public road. Authorities described the act as a serious threat to public safety and said such behavior endangers both vehicle occupants and other road users.
According to police, the stunt violated traffic safety regulations and could have resulted in severe injuries or fatalities. Officials stressed that roads are not places for risky displays or social media challenges, urging motorists and passengers to act responsibly at all times.
Dubai Police said they continue to monitor dangerous driving through patrols and advanced surveillance systems. Authorities warned that offenders may face vehicle impoundment, substantial fines, and other legal consequences under UAE traffic laws. Recent enforcement actions have seen vehicles seized for reckless driving and stunt-related violations, with penalties reaching up to Dh50,000 in some cases.
