Heavy strikes continue across southern Lebanon as Israel advances

Three people have been killed and more than a dozen injured by Israeli air strikes early on Saturday morning, as attacks escalate in southern Lebanon, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Israeli forces advanced on Friday in Lebanon’s Debbine, in the Marjayoun district, with further movement reported in the eastern sector around Zaoutar and Yohmor Al Chaqif, south of Nabatieh, a town already heavily damaged.

Israeli forces have continued air strikes across the Nabatieh and Tyre districts, after intensifying bombardments on both areas in recent days. Several areas in the Sidon region were also threatened and targeted throughout the day.

The Israeli army has also issued forced displacement orders for seven villages in the Bekaa and in the south of the country on Saturday morning, a call that preceded imminent air strikes.

The army told residents to move north of the Zahrani River, extending these orders beyond the so-called Yellow Line.
