Iranian attacks on vital infrastructure in Kuwait have caused fire and damage to several power and water desalination plants, authorities said today.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said emergency teams were able to extinguish the fires and assess the damage caused. It added that emergency response teams were working to implement repair plans and rehabilitate the affected facilities.
The ministry added that some generating units have been taken out of service as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of equipment and the stability of its electricity and water systems.
