Israel has suspended strikes on Iran at the request of US President Donald Trump, according to a senior Israeli official quoted by Channel 12.

The official said Israel would, however, continue military operations in southern Lebanon at full intensity in the coming days.

The official also warned that if attacks by Hezbollah on Israeli communities persist, Israel would strike Beirut’s southern suburbs, considered a Hezbollah stronghold.
