Israel’s military orders residents in southern Lebanon towns and villages to leave

Israel’s military has issued a displacement order covering more than a dozen towns and villages in southern Lebanon.

It following a wave of bombings in Lebanon on Monday that threw the future of a ceasefire in the area into doubt.

Israeli military spokesman in Arabic Avichay Adraee said the attacks were a response to Hezbollah violations of the ceasefire, which was extended only a matter of days ago.

Israel’s Prime Minister and Defence Minister issued fiery statements threatening more attacks against Lebanon on Monday evening, after an Israeli soldier was killed on Sunday.
