Pogačar Dominates Vuelta Stage as UAE Team Emirates-XRG Extends Lead

Tadej Pogačar delivered a spectacular performance for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, winning Stage 4 of the 2026 Vuelta a España with a commanding solo ride through the mountains of Andorra.

The Slovenian attacked with around 50 kilometres remaining on the 104.8-kilometre circuit around Andorra la Vella, quickly distancing his rivals and maintaining his advantage all the way to the finish. Pogačar crossed the line 2 minutes and 39 seconds ahead of Jarno Widar and Felix Gall.

The victory marked Pogačar’s fifth stage win at the Vuelta and his first while wearing the race’s red leader’s jersey. His performance also significantly strengthened his position at the top of the general classification.

Following the stage, Pogačar leads the Vuelta with an overall time of 7:38:59, holding a 3-minute-21-second advantage over fellow Slovenian Primož Roglič. Enric Mas sits third, 3:32 behind, while UAE Team Emirates-XRG teammate Jay Vine is also inside the top 10.

The victory adds another major result to an already remarkable 2026 season for Pogačar and highlights the strength of UAE Team Emirates-XRG in the Grand Tours.

With the race still in its early stages, Pogačar and his team will now look to protect their advantage while continuing their pursuit of overall victory in Spain.
