President Sheikh Mohamed received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
Both leaders called for an immediate halt to escalation of the conflict across the region and for “meaningful dialogue and diplomacy”, state news agency Wam reported.
They discussed the “escalating security and military developments in the region, and their serious implications for regional and international security and stability”.
