UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming the two countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Mirziyoyeva conveyed greetings from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed asked her to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek President and the people of Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on opportunities to expand cooperation in support of the development priorities and ambitions of both countries, as well as promoting the wellbeing of their peoples.

UAE–Uzbekistan relations have expanded significantly in recent years, with cooperation covering areas including investment, finance, education, food security, technology, energy and infrastructure. The two countries formalised a strategic partnership in January 2025, providing a framework for deeper collaboration across a range of sectors.

Connectivity between the two countries is also growing. Etihad Airways launched daily direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent in August 2026, strengthening links for business, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

The latest meeting adds to the high-level engagement between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent and reflects continued efforts to develop a broader partnership focused on economic growth, investment, innovation and shared development objectives.

With expanding cooperation and stronger connectivity, the UAE and Uzbekistan are continuing to build practical ties across multiple sectors while supporting their respective long-term development goals.
