Saudi Arabia’s National Early Warning Platform issued alerts on Tuesday of potential danger in Makkah city, Taif governorate and Jeddah, the Civil Defence said.
The authority urged residents to follow official safety instructions. It did not specify the nature of the threat.
In follow-up statements, the Civil Defence said the danger in the three locations had passed.
