Sharjah is strengthening its focus on artificial intelligence and future-ready leadership with the launch of a new executive programme at two of the world’s most prestigious universities.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre, has launched the Oxford and Cambridge Executive Programme in Leadership, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation. The programme will take place at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge from August 30 to September 5, 2026.
The initiative is designed to equip executives with the knowledge and practical tools needed to navigate rapid advances in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and the modern digital economy. Senior academics and specialists from Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK institutions will contribute to the programme.
Participants will explore topics including leadership in the age of AI, strategic decision-making in uncertain environments, digital transformation, AI in financial services, technology governance and data-driven executive decision-making.
The programme combines academic learning with practical experiences through lectures, case studies, roundtable discussions, simulations, interactive presentations, field visits and knowledge-exchange meetings in Oxford, Cambridge and Warwick.
Sharjah Chamber officials said the initiative reflects a broader commitment to investing in human capital and developing leaders capable of using emerging technologies to improve organisational performance and competitiveness.
By connecting Sharjah’s business community with leading global academic expertise, the programme positions the emirate as an increasingly forward-looking hub for innovation, leadership development and knowledge-driven economic growth.
The initiative also supports Sharjah and the UAE’s wider ambitions to build a competitive, technology-enabled economy prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the AI era.
