US President Donald Trump said there were no talks taking place with Iran, while insisting America’s naval blockade remained in place.

“There are no talks or conversations going on, or scheduled, with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Mr Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

He added that the Strait of Hormuz was “open and operating” and said all water mines had been removed or detonated.

“The naval blockade remains in full force and effect,” he added.
