US President Donald Trump has said Washington may carry out another military operation against Iran if a deal is not reached, amid indications that a renewed regional conflict could erupt.
“We may do another little Epic Fury,” Mr Trump told a rally in Florida yesterday, using the US military’s term for its war on Iran.
“If they’re smart, they’ll just say, ‘Let’s get down to business.’ But, you know, I doubt they’ll do that because perhaps they’re not smart.”
He said this month that the US would not launch an attack on Iran before the November 3 midterm elections.
