US President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed hope Hezbollah “acts nicely” now that the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has taken effect.
“I hope Hezbollah acts nicely and well during this important period of time. It will be a GREAT moment for them if they do. No more killing,” he said on Truth Social. “Must finally have PEACE!”
The ceasefire began at midnight. There were no immediate confirmed reports of further strikes by either side.
In a separate post, Mr Trump called Thursday an “historic day” for Lebanon. “Good things are happening!!!” he wrote.
