UAE Confirms Final Public Holiday Dates for 2025

The UAE government has officially announced the final public holiday of 2025, confirming that both public and private sector employees will receive Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2, off to mark the 54th UAE National Day. The annual celebration, also known as Eid Al Etihad, commemorates the founding of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971.

This year’s adjustment creates a four-day weekend for residents, combining the two holiday dates with the regular Saturday–Sunday break. Traditionally, National Day holidays fall on December 2 and 3, but a public law introduced in early 2025 allows non-Eid holidays to be shifted to the start or end of the week to extend rest days.

Looking ahead, early predictions for 2026 suggest UAE residents may enjoy a six-day break during Eid Al Adha.
