UAE-Georgia CEPA Strengthens Strategic Cooperation

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Georgia, effective June 2024, is boosting trade, investment, and strategic ties. The deal aims to triple non-oil trade to $1.5 billion within five years, contributing $3.9 billion to the UAE’s GDP and $291 million to Georgia’s by 2031. Key sectors include technology, food processing, metals, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, with over 90% of tariffs eliminated. Major projects include Emaar’s $6 billion investment in Tbilisi and Batumi, the Tbilisi Dry Port with AD Ports Group, and Masdar’s renewable energy initiatives. CEPA strengthens economic growth and regional cooperation.
