UAE leaders have conveyed their congratulations to Ukraine on the occasion of its Independence Day, reaffirming the friendly ties and continued cooperation between the two countries.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a congratulatory message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Ukraine’s Independence Day. Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also sent messages to the Ukrainian leadership.
The messages come as Ukraine marks its 35th Independence Day on August 24, 2026. The occasion highlights the country’s national identity, sovereignty and aspirations for peace and stability.
The UAE and Ukraine have maintained diplomatic relations and continue to explore opportunities for cooperation in areas including trade, investment, humanitarian assistance and economic development. Earlier this month, the UAE’s newly appointed ambassador to Ukraine presented his credentials to President Zelenskyy in Kyiv, with both sides expressing their desire to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The UAE has also consistently emphasized dialogue, diplomacy and humanitarian support in addressing international crises. Its engagement with Ukraine reflects the country’s broader approach of maintaining constructive relations with nations around the world.
The congratulatory messages demonstrate the importance the UAE places on maintaining strong international partnerships and supporting opportunities for cooperation, progress and prosperity.
As Ukraine observes its national day, the UAE’s message adds another expression of goodwill between the two countries, with both sides continuing to look toward deeper bilateral cooperation and a stable, peaceful future.
