UAE Leads GCC Skills Race with 6 Golds at WorldSkills Doha 2025

Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) topped the GCC region at the WorldSkills GCC Competition held in Doha from October 26-30, 2025. The UAE team secured 6 gold medals and 1 bronze among 46 competitors from all GCC states, demonstrating exceptional regional skills leadership.

Maryam Hashem Al Hashmi won the “Best Competitor” award in Graphic Design Technology for achieving the highest score in the competition. The event showcased seven main competitive skills and two junior demonstration skills driving youth innovation and technical excellence.

ACTVET’s success reflects the UAE’s commitment to empowering youth with future-ready vocational skills aligned with global standards, boosting job opportunities and strengthening the national workforce in technical fields.
