The UAE has opened registration for the seventh cohort of its Artificial Intelligence Programme, strengthening the country’s drive to develop advanced digital skills and prepare professionals for an AI-powered future.
The new cohort will run from September 2026 to January 2027 and is led by the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. This year’s programme places particular emphasis on Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.
The programme offers two specialised tracks. The Technical Track is designed for developers and engineers with advanced AI expertise, covering areas such as AI architecture, programming, model development and practical experimentation. The Professional Track is aimed at leaders, strategists and non-technical professionals, focusing on strategic AI applications, governance, technology assessment and digital adoption planning.
Participants will have opportunities to learn from international academics and technology experts while developing AI-powered solutions and innovative projects that can improve organisational performance and services.
Since its launch, the programme has graduated more than 450 professionals from over 100 government and private-sector organisations, highlighting its growing role in developing the UAE’s national AI capabilities.
The latest cohort also supports the UAE Government’s ambitious goal of transitioning 50% of government sectors, services and operations towards Agentic AI-powered operating models within two years.
The initiative reflects the UAE’s broader vision of becoming a global hub for advanced technology and innovation. By investing in AI knowledge, practical skills and leadership, the country is preparing its workforce to participate in—and help shape—the next generation of technological development.
