UAE President Reconstitutes Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a resolution reconstituting the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council. The council, which plays a central role in shaping the UAE’s AI and technology policies, will oversee initiatives aimed at boosting national competitiveness, advancing digital transformation, and accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies across key sectors.

The reconstituted council is tasked with formulating policies and frameworks to enhance research, innovation, and AI-driven solutions in vital areas such as healthcare, education, sustainability, and defense. It will also focus on building strong partnerships between government entities, private companies, and global tech leaders to ensure the UAE remains at the forefront of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Under the leadership of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the council will work closely with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office to align national strategies with Vision 2031 and the UAE Centennial 2071 goals.

The restructuring reflects the UAE’s continued commitment to positioning itself as a global hub for innovation, research, and AI excellence. By reinforcing the council’s mandate, the leadership aims to further integrate artificial intelligence and advanced technologies into governance, the economy, and society ensuring the UAE remains a pioneer in shaping the digital future of the region and the world.
