The UAE has stepped up emergency humanitarian support to Gaza, dispatching winter relief supplies as severe storms intensified hardship for displaced families. On December 17, aid convoys led by the UAE Red Crescent delivered blankets, medical supplies and essential assistance through flood-affected routes, building on the UAE field hospital established in 2023.
About 50 tonnes of aid worth AED 10 million were sent, targeting more than 100,000 vulnerable people during the winter months. Since opening, the UAE hospital has treated over 10,000 patients. Directed by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and coordinated with UNRWA and Palestinian authorities, the operation underscores the UAE’s sustained humanitarian role, reinforcing regional solidarity and its growing influence in relief and peace-building efforts across the Middle East.
