The UAE has launched its largest-ever government AI training programme, aiming to equip 80,000 federal employees with skills in “Agentic AI” technologies as part of a nationwide digital transformation strategy. The initiative, announced during a UAE Cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, supports the country’s goal of shifting 50 per cent of government services and operations to AI within two years.
The programme will train ministers, executives and employees across ministries and federal entities through specialised learning tracks covering leadership, technical and operational AI capabilities. Officials said a dedicated AI-powered digital platform will deliver personalised learning pathways based on employee roles and expertise levels.
The UAE Cabinet also approved the first package of AI-driven government service bundles designed for citizens, residents, businesses and investors, reinforcing the country’s ambition to become a global leader in advanced government technology adoption.
