US Central Command said it will begin a blockade of all ships entering and leaving Iranian ports on April 13 at 10am Eastern Time (6pm UAE time), after US President Donald Trump said the American Navy would start blockading the Strait of Hormuz.

“The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian ‌Gulf and Gulf of Oman,” Centcom wrote on X.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said earlier on Sunday that ‌any military vessels trying to approach the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a breach of the two-week ceasefire with the US and be dealt with harshly and decisively, Reuters reported.
