Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba is preparing to host one of the UAE’s largest New Year’s Eve celebrations, with a 62-minute fireworks display set to illuminate the skies as part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival. The Higher Organizing Committee confirmed that final arrangements are underway for an expanded programme featuring record-setting fireworks, the world’s largest coordinated drone shows, and a series of cultural and heritage performances.
Pavilions from participating countries, key sponsors, and strategic partners will showcase traditional arts, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. The festival site is expected to draw tens of thousands of residents and visitors, reinforcing Al Wathba’s position as a major hub for year-end celebrations in the UAE.
