UAE equity markets closed 2025 on a strong note, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi indices posting solid annual gains despite pressure from lower global oil prices. The Dubai Financial Market rose 17.2 per cent over the year, while the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange gained 6.1 per cent, reflecting sustained investor confidence and steady capital inflows.

The rally was supported by strong performances from listed companies, continued foreign investment, and expectations of resilient economic growth across the UAE. In contrast, regional markets showed mixed results, with Saudi Arabia’s benchmark index declining by around 13 per cent.

Market analysts say the UAE’s year-end performance is significant for GCC investors, offering insights into portfolio positioning, capital flows, and regional investment trends heading into 2026.
