Air travel across the UAE is seeing selective disruptions as airlines adjust schedules amid heightened regional tensions, while most services continue to operate normally.
Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia and flydubai are continuing to operate a broad range of flights, with some regional routes facing cancellations, delays or schedule changes. The adjustments are primarily affecting services connected to destinations including Bahrain and Kuwait, where airlines are closely monitoring the evolving security situation.
Etihad has extended the cancellation of several Abu Dhabi–Bahrain services until August 21, while Emirates and Air Arabia have also made targeted changes to selected Bahrain and Kuwait flights. Airlines say schedules are being reviewed regularly as conditions develop.
Despite these adjustments, UAE airports and airlines continue to maintain extensive international connectivity. The current situation is being managed through route reviews, operational adjustments and passenger support measures, allowing many flights to continue as scheduled.
Travellers are being advised to check their airline’s latest flight status before leaving for the airport and to allow additional time for their journey. Airlines are also assisting passengers affected by cancellations or schedule changes with alternative travel arrangements where available.
The situation remains fluid, but the UAE’s aviation sector continues to adapt to changing regional conditions while prioritising safe and reliable passenger operations.
