UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received Albania’s highest state decoration, the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle, in recognition of his role in strengthening relations between the UAE and Albania. The honour was presented by Albanian President Bajram Begaj during his working visit to Abu Dhabi.
The prestigious recognition highlights Sheikh Mohamed’s contribution to advancing cooperation between the two countries across multiple fields. During their meeting, the two leaders discussed opportunities to further expand bilateral relations, with particular focus on trade, the economy, renewable energy, technology and infrastructure.

The leaders also discussed the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, which will be hosted by the UAE in December. They emphasised the importance of international cooperation on sustainability and addressing global water challenges.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked President Begaj for the prestigious honour and reaffirmed his commitment to building on the progress achieved in UAE-Albania relations.
