Etihad Cancels Lisbon Flights as National Strike Hits Portugal

1 Min Read

Etihad Airways has suspended its Abu Dhabi–Lisbon flights today as Portugal faces a nationwide strike disrupting airport operations, transport and essential services. The airline confirmed that flight EY099 to Lisbon and the return service EY100 have been cancelled due to industrial action affecting all carriers at Lisbon Airport.

Etihad apologised for the disruption and said support teams are assisting travellers with alternative arrangements. The carrier urged passengers to update their contact details to receive real-time updates. The cancellations come as Etihad continues expanding its long-term fleet plans, with a target of 200 aircraft by 2030.
