Iran has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to undermine ongoing nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington during his visit to the United States. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Netanyahu’s meetings with President Donald Trump were aimed at pushing for a tougher American stance, particularly regarding Iran’s ballistic missile programme.
Baghaei described Israel as a key source of regional instability and claimed it had turned Iran’s peaceful nuclear ambitions into a manufactured crisis. He urged US officials to resist external lobbying pressures and make independent foreign policy decisions. Iran also reiterated its willingness to continue negotiations and called for the removal of what it describes as illegal sanctions. Recent talks in Muscat ended positively, with both sides agreeing to continue diplomatic engagement.
