F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said the championship remains focused on completing the season as scheduled, while closely monitoring regional developments with the FIA and local authorities. A final decision is expected by mid-September, with safety remaining the sport’s highest priority.
Should conditions deteriorate, Formula One has contingency plans to move the final rounds to Europe, with Italy’s Imola circuit emerging as the leading replacement venue. However, Domenicali stressed that the intention is to honor commitments to both Qatar and Abu Dhabi, where preparations continue and strong fan interest remains.
The Qatar Grand Prix is scheduled for late November, followed by the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit in early December, where organizers continue planning for a successful season finale. (
