Kuwait on Monday condemned attacks by Iran and affiliated factions and militias operating in Iraq, saying the assault targeted several Kuwaiti border posts and an offshore drilling platform belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the attacks resulted in casualties and material damage, but did not provide further details on the number of victims or the extent of the losses.
The ministry described the incident as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a serious threat to the security of its citizens and residents. It also accused Iran and its allied groups of undermining regional and international efforts aimed at restoring stability.
