The United Arab Emirates has launched “Factory Forward UAE,” a national initiative designed to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies across the country’s industrial sector and strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for advanced manufacturing.

Launched by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the initiative brings together existing industrial technology programmes under a single platform. These programmes have already supported more than 700 UAE factories, including over 620 factories assessed through the Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI).

Factory Forward UAE will help manufacturers identify their technology needs, assess opportunities for improvement and adopt Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, including artificial intelligence and other advanced digital solutions. The programme is designed to help factories improve productivity, efficiency and competitiveness while responding more effectively to changing market demands.

Manufacturers will also gain access to technical experts, technology providers, specialised training, enablement programmes and financing partners. This creates an integrated pathway that can support companies from initial technology assessments through implementation and expansion.

The initiative forms part of the UAE’s National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and supports the objectives of the Make it in the Emirates initiative. It is also expected to strengthen domestic supply chains and encourage the development of high-value industries.

Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr Sultan Al Jaber said the UAE is continuing to invest in people, skills and technology across the industrial value chain, with a focus on helping manufacturers use advanced technologies to increase productivity and compete more effectively.

The launch further demonstrates the UAE’s ambitious approach to industrial innovation, artificial intelligence and technology-driven economic growth, positioning its manufacturing sector for greater global competitiveness.
