The United Arab Emirates is continuing its humanitarian and search-and-rescue mission in Nepal, where severe flooding and landslides have affected communities across several areas of the country.
The UAE Search and Rescue Team is operating in the Rasuwa region in direct coordination with Nepalese authorities. The team is using specialised rescue capabilities, advanced equipment and modern technology to survey affected locations and support efforts to locate missing people.
Drones are also being deployed to conduct aerial surveys, capture detailed images and help create three-dimensional maps of affected areas. These technologies are helping rescue teams assess difficult locations, identify priority search areas and make operations more efficient.
The mission is part of a wider UAE humanitarian response launched under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The UAE has allocated US$10 million to support people affected by the disaster and has established an air bridge carrying essential relief supplies.
Three UAE relief aircraft have delivered 148 tonnes of humanitarian assistance, including food, shelter materials, essential supplies and power generators. A specialised search-and-rescue team also arrived in Nepal to strengthen emergency operations and work alongside local authorities.
The ongoing operation reflects the UAE’s strong commitment to humanitarian action and international cooperation. By combining financial assistance, essential supplies, specialist personnel and advanced technology, the UAE is supporting Nepal’s emergency response while helping communities affected by the disaster.
The mission demonstrates the UAE’s readiness to provide practical assistance when communities around the world face major humanitarian emergencies.
