A deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz with “freedom of movement” for commercial ships could come within the next two days, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has told CNBC.
“We’re in talks with the Iranians,” Mr Bessent told the network. “There is a chance we may have a deal today or tomorrow to open the strait and move towards a more normalised position in this conflict.”
